Glen Cannon Country Club first opened for play in 1966.The course was designed by William B. Anderson.
This is an extremely scenic course. The second hole incorporates a waterfall as part of its design. In addition, water hazards come into play on seventeen holes.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,548 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,172 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 564 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 155 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 14, a 369-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 4, an 183 yard par-3.

The only knock on the course is that greens are not quite fair in that there are no level putts. But, it's in the mountains so that's to be expected.
